1 What’s different about Berkeley for you?
Berkeley staff are genuinely passionate about our clients and making sure they get the best value out of our services. I think that’s because Berkeley only takes on the really interesting and challenging work – where we’re working directly with global companies going through complex transformation challenges. Berkeley staff aren’t just another body on large teams, each person here is making a real difference.
2 What’s been your biggest professional accomplishment?
My biggest accomplishment was implementing an automated, centralized way to identify and track major safety issues at a large public health agency. Prior to this, safety reviewers were each evaluating safety concerns in isolation, reducing their ability to find issues that were happening at scale. Once the new system was live, these same reviewers now had access to see what their peers around the country were tracking at all stages of the product lifecycle. This increased collaboration enabled unsafe products to be removed from the market much quicker, saving lives.
3 What are you passionate about in life?
I’m super passionate about traveling. I love exploring new places and immersing myself in new cultures and experiences. There’s something incredible and humbling about stepping outside of your comfort zone and realizing the vastly different life someone across the world from you has. One of my most profound experiences was spending time in a tiny village in Laos that is still unencumbered by modern civilization and getting to experience the tranquillity of life without technology for a few days.
