I was previously at a big four consulting firm for over 10 years. As my career progressed, I found myself focusing and specialising in certain sectors and on certain types of transformation projects.
It was truly a very difficult decision to leave but ultimately, I decided that I did want to be a transformation specialist, but across a broader range of sectors. I can happily say that Berkeley delivered!
In the time I’ve been at Berkeley, I have worked on large transformation programs for clients in the health sector, consumer products, higher education and online retailer amongst others.
In 2018 I was lucky enough to work on a high priority government fund, aimed at reducing knife crime across England amongst youths. This involved developing a strategy for how this fund could be structured and administered and then putting in place the mechanisms needed to launch it.
I worked closely with Home Office officials, stakeholders from multiple government departments and senior officials at Number 10. I feel very proud to have launched an initiative that aims to have a real and tangible impact on the lives of young people.
I studied economics and government at university and always thought I would either go into the business world or the political world. After interning with a Member of Parliament and getting a peek at what the world of politics entails, I decided that becoming a consultant was probably a better fit! I love the fact that I still get to solve real issues and make a difference to our clients and to society through what I do.
