1Why did you join Berkeley?

I joined The Berkeley Partnership for three main reasons best articulated as purpose, people, and projects. As a management consultancy Berkeley is proud to do things differently - committing to solving complex client challenges by removing typical consulting practices such as tracking utilization and sales targets. Further to Berkeley’s distinctive organizational structure, I joined the partnership for the opportunity to work among a brilliant team of experienced consultants. This means I can draw on knowledge from a broad range of skills sets to deliver the best client solutions. Finally, I joined Berkeley for the challenge of working on a wide range of complex transformational projects and programs, helping clients solve problems by challenging the norm and thinking differently.

2What types of work projects excite you the most?

That’s easy! The engagements I find most exciting involve working with great teams to solve complex challenges and deliver meaningful solutions to clients. In my career I’ve been fortunate to work with a range of cutting-edge technologies to develop and deliver high value offerings to clients. I always find myself energized by the task of solving a complex problem in an innovative way. On all my projects I get a real sense of gratification from bringing teams together to deliver a shared vision. The projects I’m most proud of are the ones where I’ve worked as a team to deliver solutions that, although not always clear from the outset, have over time provided meaningful value to both my clients and the wider community.

3What might people be interested in knowing about you?

I enjoy always being busy using most of my time outside of work to support local charities, play sport and catch up with friends and family. I’ve recently been fortunate enough to raise £20,000 for charity through a range of fundraising events, sponsored challenges, and collections. I find fundraising is a great way to meet new people and effectively apply some of my skills as a management consultant. When I’m not working with charities, I can often be found on a weekend rowing or coxing a boat on the Thames around Greenwich. The ability to navigate a boat of eight rowers from Greenwich Naval College to Tower Bridge being an important, but perhaps less well-known, part of my skill set.
