1What do you like most about Berkeley?
What I like most about Berkeley is the supportive and collaborative culture. The warm welcome I received during my induction was unlike anywhere I’ve worked before (and I’ve worked in a few different places and sectors). Berkeley truly values building strong relationships internally and externally. This was also very clear throughout the interview process and is one of the reasons I joined.
2What core value or approach do you use to help clients achieve their aspirations?
I like to focus on strengths in my approach to supporting clients. This involves identifying what each person naturally does best and empowering them to do it. It’s important to create a supportive environment, recognising and celebrating successes to motivate clients to stay committed to their goals when things get tough. I also think it’s key to be flexible and adapt the approach to each client context, and even to each phase of a project, to achieve the best results.
3What might people be interested in knowing about you?
I grew up in a trilingual home, speaking English, French and Spanish. I have lived and worked in the UK, France, China and now the US. I love working as part of a multicultural team, and strongly believe in the benefits of diverse teams, be that cultural or other kinds of diversity. Outside of work, I am a keen cyclist, having cycled from San Francisco to Los Angeles, and from New York City to Niagara Falls.
