1What’s different about Berkeley for our clients?
The Berkeley model is quite different from other consulting firms, and sometimes the value proposition is not clear if you haven’t experienced it before.
Rather than getting a large, anonymous team, who delivers to the client – Berkeley provides small teams with personable and experienced people, who deliver alongside the client, in a true partnership model. This fosters change that is more impactful and has a longer lasting impact. This model resonates with our clients, proven by the rate of 90% of work coming from repeat business or client referrals.
2What do you like most about being a transformation leader?
Having been part of many transformations, I have seen first-hand how exciting they can be. Transformation projects are often unique by nature, so you know that you are working on something that will likely happen once at that company. This drives a real level of energy across the project team – and means you get to work with enthusiastic, committed people.
I find it particularly rewarding to work in projects where we can see our efforts come to fruition in real time. Due to the nature of our engagements, we often have a bias for speed and change. While the pace can be daunting, it gives you the opportunity to stretch yourself (but also your team) – and hopefully see meaningful change happen in real time.
3What are you passionate about in life?
I like to solve problems – to the point that I have made a career out of it! But the skills that I have developed at work are also useful to impact the community around me, something I am passionate about.
I am lucky to have been involved in many opportunities to support UK and international charities, with a focus on diversity and inclusion. I am proud of the work I did in driving change on the improvement of access of marginalised communities to financial services, but also the fundraising activities for a LGBTQ+ refugee charity.
