1 What do you like most about Berkeley?
Working with a really lovely group of people, who all genuinely care about the work they are doing. There is a big focus on employees at Berkeley, you are not just a number, each individual is a valued member of the team. Berkeley works hard to maintain this culture by investing in a broad spectrum of training courses and countless team socials.
2What’s the most important thing you've learned in your career so far?
I have learnt the importance of taking time to create and maintain relationships with those you work with; both as colleagues and as people. Working in finance there is tendency to get absorbed into focusing on the data, but time and time again I have seen how these relationships can add so much value and understanding to the work I am doing.
3Why did you choose your career?
It was one that probably found me. As a finance professional I have worked in a range of industries form PR & Marketing to Engineering. This has allowed me to not only develop my technical skills but to also get an understanding of different businesses and how they operate. The breadth and variety of the roles I have had, have always kept me engaged. Working in an SME, no two days are ever the same.
